The Rose That Burns
Temple of the Burning Rose was born in Olympia, WA, when the land spoke and asked for the restoration of the feminine temple arts to once again grace these lands.
We are a group of individuals committed to co-creating a space of wholeness, healing, and soul. We descend from the ancient feminine temple arts lineage, and we believe our humanness - not our polish - is what makes us sacred.
Welcome to a space of community, heart, soul, eros, and play, where we heal, alchemize, and play together - with care, consent, and respect at the center of everything we do.
Why the Burning Rose
The rose has always been the flower of the heart - and of everything the heart makes possible when it's not in hiding: love, eros, grief, devotion, desire.
To burn is not to be destroyed. It is to be lit from within - to let what's dormant catch flame again. The Burning Rose is the heart reawakened, the life force uncaged, the aliveness that was never gone, only asleep, waiting for a container safe enough to open in.
So much of what we call "healing" asks us to manage ourselves smaller. This temple asks the opposite. We come here to restore what was never actually broken - our life force, our heart, our capacity for aliveness - and to let it burn as brightly as it was always meant to.
The rose also holds its thorns. This is not a space of spiritual bypass, of only love and light. We hold the fullness - the beauty and the protection, the softness and the fire, the bloom and the burn - because that's what real restoration requires.
You are not here to be fixed. You are here to remember. And what's remembered, burns bright.

FOUNDER
Carissa felt the call of the land to create containers of reality to assist in the birth of the New Earth. Places where community gathers co-creation with the land itself to create containers of transformation and healing.She brings a background in psychology, yoga, tantra, and meditation, alongside a long-term mentorship through the Blue Mountain Mystery School, where she trained as a trauma-informed temple space holder and erotic liberation guide.
Carissa is passionate about all things primal - about liberating the feminine from numbness and dissociation. Through her own descent into the shadow, she has come to know the power of soul retrieval, and she is devoted to helping others find their own threads of aliveness to call their souls back home.
Carissa is also a mama, a lover of the music and shamanic drumming, she has a deep soul connection to the Nordic countries. When she's not holding space, you'll find her among the trees.

A certified death doula, Reiki practitioner, and yoga instructor, she has spent the last decade walking alongside the elderly and disabled with deep compassion and devotion.Her passion for soul work, ecstatic dance, and astrology infuses every aspect of her life, bringing a grounded and nurturing presence to each space she enters. Roxana holds others with tenderness and wisdom, carrying a deep reverence for the mystery of life and death.

PRIESTESS
Kyra arrived in this space through following the uncoiling threads of their own personal healing journey. When life felt its darkest, they found immense light in relationship with both human and non-human kin.Their personal practices are rooted in reciprocity, which they carries into their work in conservation, farming, and connection to source. They studied and practiced Northern European folk belief and tradition, centered on cultivating connection and relationship with the plants, lands, waters, and beings — both seen and unseen — that surround us.
Living in the truth of the agency, personhood, and power of all things has profoundly changed Kyra's life. It is a joy and an honor for them to share this way of being with others, and to facilitate the remembering of our personal and collective power.
